Best Gimbal for Nikon D5300

The Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera is equipped with a 24.2-megapixel DX-format sensor and an EXPEED 4 image processor that allows it to capture high-resolution still images and Full HD video in low light up to ISO 12800 while maintaining a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 frames per second.

The sensor design does not have the typical optical low-pass filter, which allows for the highest possible clarity and resolution in both still images and video. An autofocus system with nine cross-type sensors and a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for precise exposure metering in a broad range of lighting situations round out the photography capabilities of this camera.

Additional features include the ability to capture 1920 x 1080p video at a variety of frame rates up to 60 frames per second, as well as full-time continuous autofocusing.

In addition, the D5300 has a beefed-up video mode that is now capable of recording genuine 1080i/60p HD video. This, together with the slightly wider (3.2″ opposed to 3″) fully-articulated 1.04 million-dot LCD screen, should make the D5300 appealing to both stills and video shooters alike, according to Nikon.

Built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, which are also firsts for Nikon’s DSLR series, are easy to overlook, but they are really helpful. The battery life has been improved as well: according to CIPA numbers, the D5300 has a shooting endurance of 600 shots, compared to 500 shots for the D5.

It’s important to remember, though, that this figure does not account for services such as Wi-Fi or GPS, and that utilizing these will reduce the amount of time you have available for photography.
