Canon Powershot SX530 HS: Design and Handling

Thanks to its excellent grip and lens, it seems like a miniature DSLR, but you should choose the PowerShot SX530 HS and be amazed at how light it looks. The light, plastic body of the 15,6-ounce camera may not sound as tough as it seems, but it does not strain your shoulders at least.

The convenient grip to the right makes it easier to keep the camera (for right-handers). The bulk of the camera settings — containing two dials, 13 keys, and a zoom button — can be conveniently accessed on the right side.

The SX530’s Mode dial is at the top right and you can pick from the Industrial, Scenario, Opening Priority, Shutter Priority, Application, Manual or Fish-Eye mode. A wheel that governs settings like opening and shuttering speed is in front of the mode dial. The zoom button and the shutter button are found on top of the grip.

The 480 x 320 LCD 3-inch is neither tilt nor switched, nor is a touch screen anymore. The LCD was difficult to display with strong sunshine in its default brightness settings, but it was bright enough until I reached its full level.

Canon PowerShot SX530 HS: Conclusion

If you purchase the Canon PowerShot SX530 HS, the 50x optical zoom is powerful. Certainly, the Canon SX530 HS is much more multi-functional than a smartphone and offers you more manual and innovative controls, greater light output than other phones, and a day-to-day battery. Alternatively with the $250 Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS45, which provides 20x optical zooming, the SX530 is lightweight and still a little bulky. In comparison.

Journalists, sports enthusiasts, proud parents, watchers can nevertheless enjoy the long zoom at which finished birds or a spoken human will come next to them on stage without terrifying them.
