Chrome unveiled a new version of the legendary Niko camera backpack as well as a completely new sling.

In order to better serve street photographers and filmmakers, Chrome Industries has modified its classic Niko camera backpack. It has also put on the market a revolutionary new sling designed just for photographers on the road.

The Niko 3.0 Backpack (£240) and the new Niko 3.0 Camera Sling (£130) will be available for purchase starting next week from the company, which is known for its rugged, waterproof, and urban-focused backpacks.

The Niko 3.0 Backpack is without a doubt the company’s most well-known product. In common with many big camera backpacks, this robust 25kg backpack features many access points, including doors on the top, back, and sides that allow you to easily reach the cameras and lenses placed in the main compartment. When it is empty, it weighs 2kg.

A bigger laptop sleeve meant to accommodate an Apple Macbook up to 16 inches in size, as well as a secondary pocket for holding a tablet, are both new for 2022. The main compartment is divided with Velcro-fixed dividers, allowing it to be adapted to hold any type of equipment.

Niko 3.0 Backpack has adjustable cushioned shoulder straps, a sternum strap with clip, and an insulated hip belt to keep you comfortable on your hikes no matter what the weather. Cargo straps are provided on both sides for transporting tripods and other equipment.

This enhanced version features a strong Tricot lining on the interior and a 1050 Denier bluesign-approved Nylon shell with a waterproof base for laying it down in damp situations, which is an additional feature of this upgraded version.

According to Chrome Industries, the modified design is the result of input from street, action, and adventure photography pros.

New for Chrome is the Niko 3.0 Camera Sling, a nine-liter backpack designed specifically for urban photographers on the run. The Niko 3.0 Camera Sling is a Chrome first. A strap and a fast-release buckle are included, and it is constructed from the same durable materials as the Niko 3.0 Backpack. It weighs 970g.

However, despite the fact that it is designed to be worn across the body, the Niko 3.0 Camera Sling’s two-point adjustable, broad shoulder strap may be rapidly tightened and relaxed. In addition, it may be worn around the waist.

For quick access to a camera or lens, there is a zip opening on the top. This bag’s main compartment is well-padded and has enough space for a full-frame DSLR with a 70-200mm lens, however, it may be divided into sections for lenses and flashes if necessary. In addition to several compartments for cables and supplies, it also includes fold-out slots for memory cards or film.
