A second James Bond-themed version of the full-frame Leica Q2 camera has just leaked ahead of its official release, and this model looks much smarter than last year’s alleged first Q2 007 variant.
Apparently, the style will be dubbed the version of Daniel Craig x Greg Williams and the photos that were leaked by the ever-reliable Nokishita and picked up by Leica Rumors show a minimalist Leica Q2 with discreet highlights of gold or brass.
The style is not significantly different from the normal Leica Q2, of course, but it’s presumably an upgrade to the James Bond 007 camera version we saw leaked in September 2020. (below). That edition carried a somewhat tacky lens cap and a controversial racing green body ‘gun barrel’.
It is possible that both of the unconfirmed cameras were designed to commemorate the release of No Time To Die, but with the release of that film already moved back to October 8, 2021 (its third delay), it is unknown precisely when we will see these Leica Q2s special editions.
Unlike the Nokia smartphones seen in the series, at least the iconic architecture of the Q2 may not age-the Nokia 8.3 5G may be so old by the time we get to see the final appearance of Daniel Craig as 007 that reports have indicated certain scenes will also need to be reshot.

Best but limited edition
Although it is unlikely that this new Daniel Craig x Greg Williams version of the Leica Q2 will appear in the film itself, in the past Craig himself has been seen shooting with Leica cameras, so after his retirement from Bond service it is likely to be the one the actor wears.
If the final version really fits these leaked photos, it may be the best limited edition Leica Q2 we’ve seen so far-from the back, against the black, weather-sealed shell, those brass or copper markings look especially classy.
Perhaps the only blot is the addition of the name below the screen of Daniel Craig x Greg Williams-if you don’t know who Williams is, he’s the official set photographer for most recent Bond movies, including No Time to Die.
Otherwise, the Leica Q2 Daniel Craig x Greg Williams version will operate exactly like a regular Q2, so you’re going to get a full-frame 47.3MP sensor combined with a 28mm f/1.7 lens, a combination that ensures it’s generally recognized as one of the best and most coveted cameras from Leica.
You also get a 3.68 million dot EVF, a 3-inch touchscreen, and a magnesium alloy body with tank-like construction quality in addition to the classic combo. Of course, this will all come at a hefty premium-for the Daniel Craig x Greg Williams version there was no leaked pricing, although it was rumored that the earlier 007 editions priced around € 7,000 (around $ 8,475 / £ 6,150 / AU$ 10,960).
This suggests that we would consider this version to already be in the ballpark, which is a decent markup of $4,995 / £4,250 / $AU7,570. on the regular Leica Q2 price tag. As Leica Rumors states, however, only 750 units of the Daniel Craig x Greg Williams version will definitely be available worldwide (or perhaps 748, once Daniel and Greg have grabbed theirs).
