Canon VIXIA HF W10 Review

The Canon VIXIA HF W10 Camcorder is ready to shoot in virtually any environment due to its small size, high durability, and extensive feature set. If you are recording home videos, events, or recitals, the 40x optical and 60x dynamic zoom will ensure you can get the shot from the back of the room. This little camera is only 10 ounces in weight and is 5 inches in length, making it easy to carry around with you wherever you go.

AVCHD video recordings of up to 1920 by 1080p60 can be stored on 8GB of internal flash memory, or the built-in SD card slot can accommodate an SD card purchased separately. You also can take still photos with a resolution of 2 megapixels while concurrently recording video.

The W10 is an extremely durable camera that can withstand harsh environments thanks to its water resistance of up to 16.4 feet, its shock resistance of up to 4.9 feet, and its freeze resistance of down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. In particular, when using longer lens lengths, advanced image stabilization helps to maintain image stability while simultaneously decreasing tremors and jitter.

The W10 comes with an internal battery that, when used with the recommended settings, can provide up to 4.5 hours of continuous recording time. This battery can be charged using either the USB cable or the AC adapter. The camera is also compatible with a portable battery that has 5V and 5200mAh and may be purchased separately. It is very simple to access the settings and enable advanced features such as face tracking and time-lapse recording thanks to the 3″ touch-panel LCD that this device has. A USB Type-A to micro-USB Type-B cable and an AC adapter with an adapter cable are both included in this package.

  • The 1/5.8-inch, 2.5-million-pixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor can record up to 1920 by 1080p60 AVCHD video and 2 million-pixel stills.
  • Waterproof to a depth of 16.4 feet, shockproof to a height of 4.9 feet, and freezeproof to a temperature of 14 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • 8 gigabytes of flash memory are already installed in addition to a slot for an SD card.
  • Functions like facial tracking, advanced picture stabilization, and time-lapse recording are included.
  • Suppose all settings are optimized, such as having a fully charged battery, using the default mode for the backlight, and not using the zoom function. In that case, the built-in battery can provide up to approximately 4.5 hours of continuous recording. Portable batteries with more than 5200 mAh can be used with the camera.
