Everything About That Tab in Lightroom You Didn’t Know About

Even while we frequently think of Photoshop as a complicated behemoth, Lightroom also has a lot of small nuances and hidden functions of its own. The Camera Calibration tab, which is located at the very bottom of the Develop module and may give your photographs the type of subtle boost that elevates them to the next level, is one of the least discussed but also one of the most useful. This fantastic video lesson will teach you all you need to know about the Camera Calibration tab, including what it is, how to use it, and what it does.

This helpful video lesson on the Camera Calibration tab in Lightroom was created by Anthony Morganti and is now available for your viewing pleasure. Even though it is not required to edit a photo (I don’t think I opened this tab for at least the first year that I used Lightroom), it can give your images that extra bit of pop without making them look garish or overdone. Many photographers go their entire careers without ever touching this tab. I myself don’t think I opened it until at least the first year that I used Lightroom.

It is typically the key component in a lot of landscape photographs, particularly those in which you see blues that are really saturated and hypnotizing. Scroll down and give it a test drive on a few different pictures if you have never used it before. You can get the entire scoop from Morganti in the video that’s been embedded above.
