Sigma fp Performance

The Sigma FP utilizes a 24.6-megapixel CMOS sensor with a Bayer filter, and the camera is also capable of recording 12-bit CinermaDNG RAW to an external recorder.

The camera features an ISO range that goes up to 25,600 and a shutter speed that goes as fast as 1/8000 of a second.

Sigma fp Image Quality

The Sigma fp handled noise quite well in both the JPEG and Raw formats, producing excellent images from ISO 6200 up to ISO 3200. While the result is not unpleasant, noise and artifacts become increasingly noticeable between ISO 6400 and 12800; nonetheless, the range between ISO 25600 and 102400 should only be used in an emergency.

Sigma fp Verdict

In general, the Sigma FP is a first-generation camera that is of high quality and is recommended for beginning filmmakers who are just starting started in production. After all, photographers may relax and wait for the next iteration of the Sigma FP.
