In the near future, there will be an increased supply of Canon lenses.

Canon has been working hard to complete its RF mirrorless lens portfolio, but there are still quite a few alternatives that aren’t available to choose from. It appears that the corporation will soon be shifting its focus to wide-angle alternatives, and it is anticipated that four professional prime lenses from the L Series will be made available within the next year.

According to Canon Rumors, Canon is preparing to introduce four professional wide-angle prime lenses in addition to other lenses that will be released in the near future. These lenses will be the RF 12mm f/1.8L USM, RF 24mm f/1.4L USM, RF 28mm f/1.4L USM, and 35mm f/1.2L USM. The 24mm and 35mm lenses are not a big surprise because they are both basic prime focal lengths that are included in the lineups of virtually all professional lens sets. Because the business never produced an L alternative at that focal length for the EF mount, the 28mm lens is a little bit more uncommon than the other two options.

In the meanwhile, a measurement of 12 millimeters is the most peculiar. The inclusion of a maximum aperture with such a wide focal length in a full-frame lens would be highly unusual and likely to pique the curiosity of certain photographers, most notably those who picture landscapes and the night sky. For years, my Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art has been one of my go-to lenses, and I’ve always been intrigued about what an aperture of that size might look like in an even wider lens. What the coming year has in store for us remains to be seen.
