Tokina has officially unveiled their new SZ 8mm F2.8 fisheye lens for APS-C cameras for the Fujifilm X and Sony E mounts, which will be available starting today.

It is developed especially for APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras and is tiny and lightweight. It is a fast, ultra-wide prime lens with manual focus and is meant to be used with APS-C sensor mirrorless cameras. The lineup comprises devices with Fuji X and Sony E APS-C camera mounts, as well as versions with other mounts. This lens is appealing to both still photographers and filmmakers because of the emphasis on perspective and the unusual distortion it produces.
Landscape, nightscape, interior, architectural, street photography, and pet photography are some of the proposed categories. Fast f/2.8 aperture
When shooting in low light, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 E Fish-Eye has a fast f/2.8 aperture and Tokina proprietary multi-coated optical components for effective light intake and, as a result, a faster shutter speed than the competition.
To incorporate close-up items in front of a large background, a minimum focus distance of 10cm must be used.
When used with full-frame mirrorless cameras, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 E FISH-EYE has a detachable hood that allows for the creation of a circular fisheye effect.
In order to ensure smooth operation when shooting video, the Tokina SZ 8mm F2.8 E FISH-EYE is designed with a clickless aperture ring.
